Pick a date that will get you a good turn out if you’re hosting an event. You want to give yourself time to prepare for and reach your goal.
Also, it helps to set a target for when you want to have all your sponsor money collected by. This is helpful for collecting any outstanding sponsorship donations.
Once you have picked your event it is time for the next step: getting the word out.
You can start by encouraging your family and friends to sponsor you – this helps you to get the ball rolling! You can also promote your plans for holding a fundraising event on our behalf on your social media. Giving posters & sponsor forms to local schools, shops, and churches is another great way to get the word out.
Tell people about all about your plan and don’t be afraid to ask people to donate towards raffles!
