In recent years, particularly since COVID, the volunteering landscape has changed significantly both locally and nationally. We must remain flexible, create new opportunities, and leverage digital tools to recruit, train, and support volunteers.Through introducing this new role, we will work to systematically assess and develop all aspects of our volunteer programme.

In celebration of #AutismAcceptanceWeek, the mum of amazing little Eric has shared some of her experiences with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and her son's diagnosis journey.

After we received the diagnosis, we contacted the Clackmannanshire carers who were very helpful and we went to the office in Falkirk for post diagnosis support, this was for 6 weeks, and we found this invaluable as we got to chat to other parents who were going through similar experiences.

We are looking to welcome a new Family Support Worker to our team to allow us to meet the growing need for our services locally. This is a fixed term contract, with potential of extension dependent upon continued funding.

Our Family Support Coordinators are central to the support services we offer our local families. As a Family Support Coordinator, you, along with our other three Coordinators will be the first point of contact for a referred family, engaging them through initial visit, providing information, and helping them to shape their package of support.
